How are you using SocialBookmarking in your IM campaigns these days? Sick of the captchas to the point you've outsourced this work?

Social Bookmarking Explained:

Bottom line up front: It’s a tool, like any other, that can be abused or used wisely. Find your own balance here.

Socialbookmarking explained

Two Different Styles of Socialbookmarking:

Some IM’ers have a more straight edge approach to it. They’ll outsource their social bookmarking efforts to have it done “naturally”. They’ll have established, old, “mature”, social bookmarking personas that will never get labeled as spam. The links these personas point to are often camouflaged… for example, they’ll include a money-page link among benign links to wikipedia, some musical artist, etc. This can be called “The Gardening Approach”. It’s slow, it produces results, and it appears naturally edible (read:indexed and spidered) to Google. This is a great approach to use for non-seasonal items, products, etc. It’s steady. And slow. And appears natural.

Other IM’ers take a more gray hat approach. There are many, many automated programs and services that create personas for you and automatically push…or drip…bookmarks to the sites you choose. The problem is, this creates a *huge* potential for abuse. Why slowly make my way through this site, plugging away one bookmark at a time at one site at a time when I can do it automatically? Anything that automates a process for me…I’m all for. I can show my outsourcers how to do it, which tool to use, and that frees them up for other things I need them to do.

Social Bookmarking personas explained

Let’s step back and define what personas are, because they- not the bookmarks themselves- are the real heart of social bookmarking.

A persona is one person with several bookmarking accounts, creating multiple bookmarks on multiple sites on a semi-regular basis. They’ve filled out the info on their profile pages, and they also use the same bookmarking sites that they bookmark to. Sounds plain, right- but this is typically the behavior of a ‘normal’ person using this type of web 2.0 property. Google eats this up. Know why? Yeah, that’s why. Many of the ‘best’ (read:highest PR on Google) SB sites require cookies. Kind of hard when you’re using a proxy, eh? Google has teams of human intelligence experts running crazy insane algorithms (think:mad mad savant SQL genuises) on data it’s collecting.

Needless to say, a lot of the ‘automated’ personas get booted as spammers.

Social Bookmarking Persona Metrics

So, would a ‘normal’ person make 2 or 3 bookmarks a day….or, 100-200? Is it better to have a slow drip of bookmarks, over an extended period of time, or, is there a sudden flux of 100 bookmarks a day for 3 or 4 days? These are important questions to consider when evaluating your own marketing style as applied to SB.

Will one or two social bookmarking personas be enough for your IM needs? Only you can answer that for yourself. Are multiple personas a genuine, ethical way of your IM philosophy?

Automated Socialbookmarking Solutions…

Automated Socialbookmarking Account Creation

Check out #15. 1,155 bookmarks helped to bring one of my clients USD$3,391 over 6 weeks. We ran a few articles in conjunction with this campaign, but everything else was automated. Or outsourced. See the number of links to be posted listed as 54? We paid one outsourcer to write and spin descriptions and titles of several feeder sites for an hour. Assigned those links to automated socialbookmarking personas (listed as accounts), then let it run for 5 weeks. I’m a firm believer in…you promote something until you don’t want to earn money by promoting it… So, #15 was just a “test run” for one client to really see the potential of social bookmarking. Now, it doesn’t end here:

There are multiple ways to automate the creation of your social bookmarking personas. You still need to automate these personas submitting to their accounts. Bookmarkingdemon has serious potential- it follows a blueprint I’ve used that’s definitely assisted me:

Automated Socialbookmarking for internet marketing campaigns

Create Your SB personas–>Assign Personas to URL’s you’re promoting and start automatic or drip bookmarking–>Use your favorite Ping Server to ping the same URL’s–>Use your favorite Ping Server to ping the URLS of your persona’s profile–>Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Don’t forget to add the camouflaged links to your bookmarking queues… links to sites you have no personal involvement with.

See the potential? More inlinks to your intra-net’s and mini-net’s of feeder pages, web 2.0 properties, landing pages, article directories, video sharing sites….

SocialBot v4.0 is remaining one of my favorites.

Autosocialposter.com is another clear innovator in this segment of the game. Check them out to see where they’ve taken this part of the game.

Find your own balance and keep in mind that personas will always be the heart of your social bookmarking tactics.

Of course, creating those personas is some detailed, nitty-gritty work.

What’s the future of automated socialbookmarking persona creation and bookmarking? Captchas that convert text to speech, and having this process captured by speech recognition software that will kick it out in text format to allow some macro to copy and paste that text back to the Captcha.

Fringe IM’ers are already having a modicum of success with what they’ve been able to create… and you better believe there are a lot of outsourced teams all over the world trying to solve this particular little challenge.

If you’ve been following my other blog you’ll know I practice something called shooting 50m targets. It’s more an idea than a shooting range. Basically, you take care of your project/goal/endeavor to such an extent, that the only logical next step for it, is for it to manifest.

I’ve always wanted to work very few hours for a lot of money and travel the world… No, this isn’t about Internet Marketing at all. I provide a service to executive level personnel within the government and travel the world to make people say yes and sign documents related to IT Acquisition and Systems Integration. I spend a few hours of “not really work-work” each week dedicating myself to the preparation of that one hour of work, but my time is more and more involved with IM these days… if IM was a drug, it would definitely be crack.

So, I’m devoting less time to this pursuit of non-IM streams of revenue, but since making that decision the number of “opportunities” to travel and work one hour has exploded. I’m booked solid through December. Yeah, that’s right- one hour. Of “work”. It’ll be a lot of strenuous one hour days…

In Tobyhanna it took a little longer due to the VIP tour of the place. I’m not going to be specific. If you don’t know what’s in Tobyhanna and can’t deduce it from what I’m writing, then it’s probably better if you don’t know.

And yes… One hour of “work”. I was even wearing jeans. I toured a manufacturing/engineering/repair facility with a 5,000 employee roster. They had ISO 9000.1 down to a science. Let’s just say David Allen’s GTD “borrowed” a lot of concepts from it. Consider this: Before obtaining their ISO cert., the potential max. of achievable manhours for this facility was 200,000 manhours/week, (mhp/w). They never reached it as the percentage of personnel calling in sick, on vacation, on comp time or overtime, etc., ran from 3% – 8% depending on season, and, interestingly enough, NFL, NBA, and NHL seasons. 194k-184k was the average range of expected mhp/w, and product completion for various projects ran at average: 9-12% over deadlines by 9 – 23 days.

After ISO 9000.1, and with powerful modeling processes set into place, the effectivity and productivity of the baseline mhp/w began steadily growing.

How does this deal with IM? Yeah, good question- glad you asked… ISO 9000.1 is really about how to utilize the resources you already have to increase productivity. Sounds like GTD huh? The new IM’er doesnt really have many resources to work with. So, what’s the lesson? Look harder.

There are a multitude of automation tools to assist the new IM’er. Things like onlywire.com, socialoomph.com, $1/month (first month only) subscriptions to myarticlenetwork.com and articlemarketingautomation.com, and the 1000′s of article and video submission sites to create backlinks.

With a few social bookmarking personas and a proxy server, the savvy IM’er can generate 100′s of backlinks to his/her money page, landing page, or feeder page.

So, sit there and complain that the “guru’s” have the markets cornered, or be audacious and start busting your ass. When you start showing profits you can reanalyze your work break down structure, and look at outsourcing and micro-outsourcing as viable tools to complement your campaigns.

Get to it! I know you can!

These crusty old geeks teach Internet Marketers the value of keyword research and evaluating your target audience through the lens of organic marketing.

These dudes are geeked out totally and completely. There is no coming back. They’ve od’ed on the acid that is vintage computing.

This is a great example of a very specific Niche Market. You would need to do some amount of involved keyword research before exploiting it. It would be very difficult for an IM’er, not interested in vintage computing to compete in this market. The sites ranking for the below keywords are mostly sites and blogs created and maintained by individuals with a passion for vintage computing, not just the hardware, but the concept. They take it seriously, and it’s more than just a hobby to them…. They are indeed, purveyors of forgotten technologies antiquated by time and purpose. They find passion in vintage “laptops” weighing over 20 pounds.

Let’s just say it’s a very specific niche for the brave internet marketer to explore.

However, what makes it interesting for the IM’er is the data we can pull from Google on this niche:

buy vintage computer=1.3million broad/ 24,700 exact

order vintage computer online=4.8million broad/0 exact

vintage computer washington d.c.=258k broad/1 exact

buy antique computer=too narrow, antique desks populate this keyword, not antique pc’s

buy antique pc=1.9million broad/1 exact

buy vintage mac=3.4million/3300 exact

Although most of the sites ranking on the top SERP’s tend to be ones run by those very same geeks, what’s interesting is that not many are using long tail keyword phrases in their SEO/SEM strategy. While it would be foolish to compete using broad match in this niche, there are some very attractive long tail’s just waiting to be exploited.

Take the keyword “buy vintage mac”. Enough people are searching this keyword for 3300 other competing pages to be present using that specific keyword phrase. Who would want to buy a vintage mac…. who would search for that term? Someone with money ready to buy one for whatever their reason may be, that’s who. If you consider yourself an IM’er, then it should be no problem whatsoever ranking for this long tail keyword.

What could an IM’er do with this little bit of keyword research?

1) Use the specific keyword phrase “buy antique mac” on a blog devoted to, of course, “antique mac’s”. If it’s a site you’re hosting and not a free web 2.0 property, you can add in Ebay Auctions to your Website with this little gem from www.phpbay.com…. it’ll scour ebay for you and dish out relevant auctions on that very same keyword. Throw in some video of vintage mac tv commercials, if you can find them, to further entice prospective customers…. And a pair of eyes is just one click away from becoming a customer.

2) Research the keyword further and dig into sites with tips on how to buy vintage mac’s, what to look out for when buying vintage mac’s, vintage mac replacement parts, vintage mac accessories, maybe even vintage mac magazines. Hand over your research ideas to a ghostwriter and have a “How to Buy Vintage Mac’s” ebook written. And sell it.

3) Build an email list of devoted “buy vintage mac” customers and send out a monthly newsletter full of quality content with value to them, then exploit the list occasionally by running lateral sales and services promotions.

4) Build as many squidoo, wetpaint, weebly, zimbio, etc. properties as you can related to this topic and use them as feeder sites to your money page.

Will you get rich off this niche? Probably not. But you could exploit it to the extent that it generates an easy $50 – $200 in sales a month without really putting that much effort into it, allowing it to be yet another stream of revenue flowing to you.

Feel like exploiting it? Let me know if you do, I’ll add some links in this article and promote your site . For free.

Another exploitable web 2.0 video property? Or... something IM'ers will just abuse?

Staying below the radar for a year or so, xtranormal.com has built up a small cult like following. What is it? Hard to say… Internet Eye Candy for 13 year olds? A glimpse into what internet users want and expect from a web2.0 property?

Clicking on the photo will get you to a short video example of what it can do. Type in some text, choose some backdrops and characters, etc., and an hour or so later xtranormal has converted your text into a “video”.

The quality leaves something to be desired. The text-to-speech algorithms being used can’t differentiate between an acronym and a word; IM’ers is spoken “-immers”. The free account, as usual for web2.0 prop’s, has few bells and whistles.

Who’s using it so far? Pre-pubescent teens obsessed with butt cheese and farts….a few stand up comedians…a few scriptwriters trying to make a “serious” video (lol!) on this site. And… IM’ers getting a free dofollow backlink to their Money Page or Landing Site.

If you’ve ever lived in Europe, xtranormal is eerily similar to those CGI shows (late night RTL2) where people would text in or SMS messages and they would be read on air, uncensored, by these “computer” like actors.

What’s interesting is that xtranormal.com offers a free standalone composer… about a 136mb download. You can use your basic free account and putz around with it… Let’s just say “it has potential”. It’s a semi-direct challenge to Animoto.com… and I’m sure we’ll eventually be seeing xtranormal videos plastered over youtube and the ilk.

Other than a free link what xtranormal also provides is an insight into a growing need. Video is ruling google organic search results as more and more IM’ers take advantage of it. Gauher Chaudhry even polled his lists and came up with the figure that a whopping 83% of people (at least on his lists) prefer video (but then again, 94% of people will believe any statistic you tell them). You know what Gauher did? He’s now videoblogging about the results of his survey! So, while the debate over article vs. video marketing evolves, what few IM’ers are realizing is this: Articles-when spun and submitted to 100′s of sites-provide a great source of backlinks and redirects to your money page(s), landing page(s), and feeder page(s). However, who has time to read anything these days?

Why are videos doing so successful? Because people can more easily watch a video, while they’re working on something else, than they could read an article. Did you catch that? Of the millions and millions out there that still have a job, it’s easier to watch a video at work than it is to read an article or a sales page. Did you get that? People can hide the video window behind a spreadsheet and just listen.

If you’re a smart IM’er take note: If you’re following the trends (like traffic-geyser.com, animoto.com, and xtranormal.com, and the 100′s of video sharing sites) you’re starting to see that more and more IM’ers are incorporating video into their campaigns. A need exists… if you’ve got about 100k – 120k to drop into a project- make a real life version of xtranormal.com. There are enough out of work actors and actresses in L.A, there are enough out of work videographers, cinematographers, producers, Full Sail graduates, and directors, too. Catching the drift? A custom made 30 second, 60 second, or 90 second video could be offered to customers at a price that would offset your costs of hiring staff and crew, and renting equipment while providing a significant ROI. Couple that with the extra charges and fees that you could earn by submitting that same video to the 100′s of video web sites out there….

Good God! I should get on xtrannormal right now and make a video about it!

Happy Video Production,

Learning by example from this bit of extreme niche research on Moab, UT!

Moab, UT - Serenity Valley

Maybe you heard of this remote city out in the middle of nowhere, UT; bordering BFE, Colorado; close to Where?, NM….

Sure, I’ve heard of it- but have nothing in my mind to associate it with. If it were Albequerque, NM I’d think of Breaking Bad
.

So, what’s up with Moab, UT? Eventslisted.com, that’s what. Moab has nothing to do with that web site, but it’s a great Web 2.0 property for Internet Marketers to add to their infrastructures and use to their advantage.

what caught my eye was the floating text ads on top as well as the comments to the right. The ad for Moab, UT was simple- “Plan your Meetings and Events in Moab, UT”. WTF? Since I’m so damn curious about niche markets and how we, as Internet Marketers, infiltrate those markets- this ad grabbed my attention. Who would ever think to promote something like that, and, more importantly, is there a profit in it?

Clicking on that link takes you to a rather drab profile page, but that’s consistent with eventslisted.com. The power of this web 2.0 property is the fact that it’s one more page of backlinks you can use for your infrastructure while providing the opportunity to brand yourself further as an expert in that particular niche.

If you dig around that link, you’ll see a bevy of valuable links associated to (one of) the main keywords this Internet Marketer has chosen: “Visit Moab Utah”. Even the gmail account listed in the author bio is visit.moab.utah@gmail.com! Props to this marketer! After you dig around, you’ll see one POC on the main site listed, Michelle Hill. She’s using some extreme tactics, so you might want to check her style out.

Moab, UT sunset

If you do some quick analysis on google, you’ll notice that Michelle is ranking in top SERP’s. Moabutah.info is in the top spots for the broad keywords:

‘moab ut meetings’ : 1 – 10 of about 204,000results
‘moab ut meeting’ : 1 – 10 of about 168,000results
‘moab utah meetings’ : 1 – 10 of about 120,000results
‘moab utah meeting’ : 1 – 10 of about 95,900results
‘moab ut event planning’ : 1 – 10 of about 24,400results

Mix and match the above keywords with ‘event’, and you’ll get another site, suspiciously resembling moabutah.info…both are run by the ‘Moab Area Travel Council’.

‘moab utah event’ : 1 – 10 of about 266,000results
‘moab utah events’ : 1 – 10 of about 1,620,000results

Good work Michelle!

She’s obviously built an infrastructure around some solid keywords and refers elements of her silo structure to other elements, building what Goolge will analyze as extremely contextual and amazingly relevant backlinks. Try doing your own keyword research using keyword modifiers like ‘planning’, ‘event calendar’, ‘trip cooridantor’, and you’ll see that Michelle is dominating most of them. She clearly owns this niche (#1 ranked site in a field of competitors 1.6 million strong?) and with her continued efforts will continue to dominate it. She’s using all the right tricks, like incorporating video marketing, using twitter, and providing voluminous amounts of free information.

She’s beating the pants off of the local .gov’s (http://www.moabcity.state.ut.us/) also trying to promote Moab as destination for events and meetings.

It doesn’t matter which site of hers does “better”, it’s about the enhanced performance each site will get as a result of staying on target for their keywords and delivering relevant, useful (and value-added) content to people. This is the essence of Organic Marketing. Being the conduit of relevant information to people seeking it. Once you can do this, your sales and conversions will do nothing but take off! Study what Michelle has done- and incorporate it into your own marketing campaigns. You’ll do nothing but succeed.

This is the traditinoal sales funnel approach…It’s probably best you can’t read the captions- forget this diagram althogether.

It’s chief problem is that it deals with customers as if all customers were the same. This is a major distinction from organic marketing, where each customer in the niche you are marketing to is different.

Let’s explain, using “Stock Trading Newsletters” as an example. We’d like to actively target people currently trading stocks. The problem is, even though this is a niche, the diversity of the people involved in the niche may range from the school teacher making $35k/yr and trading once or twice a month to the semi-pro day trader, earning $100k/yr, to the retired couple looking for ways to multiply their retirement income of $60,000/yr.

Will each person take away from the “Stock Trading Newsletter” the same relevant information? Can this type of newsletter be made applicable to each group of persons subscribing to it?

How then, can such a newsletter, connect the reader/viewer with relevant advice, tips, information as pertaining to their specific geo/social/financial categories?

It can’t. Unless it diversifies and becomes more specific. Perhaps instead of one newsletter, three or four can be published, each targeting either a)the amount of money each group will spend in stock trades each year, or, b)the current yearly income a subscribing group (think: all those teachers vs. the retired couples) makes. The beauty of this, is you really do not need to know all the particulars of each group that is out there, but rather, take it as a given that a myriad of diverse peoples and groups are reading your newsletter.

Is it really that much more work to create specific newsletters for specific groups? Think of it this way then; what you’ve really done is segregate your buying groups into distinct sales funnels. You have an outlet to distribute appropriately priced products… You can market the $27 ebooks to the sales funnel whose individuals earn $35k/yr, while occasionally upselling them with free trials of more expensive products. You can market $497 e-courses to the sales funnel whose individuals earn $50-$60k/yr… and fianlly, you can offer professional or group coaching for $3000 to the sales funnel whose individuals earn $100k+/yr.

The logic here is that you are only providing pertinent and relevant information to targeted groups of people. While the $3000 coaching may be an excellent, affordable value to the 6 figures/yr. people, it may be out of reach for the $35k/yr, people. When offered to this group, your sales conversions will be atrocious.

Putting this theory to practical use… Ever noticed how Howie Schwartz sells products? This exact method. There are low-end $97 ebooks. There are $2000 online tutoring classes lasting for 12 weeks. There are $10,000 one on one sessions for an entire day with the man himself. Howie’s not targeting specific groups of people, but price ranges people are willing to pay. He already understands that the only ones that could afford the $10,000/day one on one sessions are probably persons that can easily afford it and will invest that money to have Howie show them how to turn a 6 figure a year business into a 7 figure a year business.

When you’re promoting a product, think of how you can subdivide it and market it in parallel with other less expensive and more expensive products. Instead of just an ebook on say, article marketing, for $57… consider finding an affiliate program to an article marketing ecourse… and then consider finding an affiliate program to an article marketing outsourcing service. If those other products or services don’t exist yet, then Congratulations- you’ve found a new business to exploit.

Good Luck to You!

This article originally came from C.J. Hayden. It offers some great tips for someone trying to gain exposure on the main search engines, yet does not have the budget for a SEO Consultant or to run PPC campaigns. If you’ve got a client that just may not be able to afford your services, you can do them a favor and go over some of the points in this article. These are things the client can do on their own…. and they will not forget that you gave them this “free” advice. Even if someone can’t afford your services, you can still provide them value, and this is what true organic marketing is all about. Do them a favor and they may very well tell their friends, business associates, and partners about your service. Some may call this “affiliate marketing” (!) but really, it’s grass roots word of mouth advertising. Organic Marketing is all about providing your customers and clients the best value possible, EVEN IF THEY DON’T PAY YOU. Enjoy! J.Henry

There’s a lot of talk from Internet marketing gurus about how to drive more traffic to your Web site. Some will suggest you try to get a higher page rank on Google by optimizing your site for search engines. Others preach using pay-per-click advertising like Google AdWords to attract streams of new visitors. But these strategies are often out of reach for an independent professional marketing his or her own services.

Hiring a professional for search engine optimization can cost thousands, and optimizing your own site may be well beyond your technical ability. Pay-per-click advertising is typically only worthwhile for those with unique keywords to advertise and a high rate of conversion from casual visitors to buyers (rare for professional service sites).

Instead of chasing higher page ranks or paying for clicks, consider using an entirely different approach to becoming more visible on the Web – increase your Googleability. What this awkward term represents is a measure of the number of different places your name appears on the Internet. The more sites there are that mention you and your work, the more likely it is that a prospective client searching for a service like yours will not only find you, but actually do business with you.

When someone types your specialty into Google or another search engine, an ideal result would be for the searcher to see your name over and over again as they begin to surf from site to site. While it would be great to have your own site appear in the top ten results, that elusive goal may not be as powerful in the long run as your widespread presence on other sites aimed at your target market.

Remember that in professional services marketing, the key is that prospective clients not just be able to locate you, they must also know, like, and trust you enough to hire you. When prospects see you mentioned in multiple places on the Web, they begin to think of you as an expert in your field.

Also, there is another aspect of Googleability to consider. It’s a common practice these days when considering the hiring of a professional to type that person’s name into a search engine and see how many hits you get. If someone does this with your name, the result you want them to see is a wide variety of links leading to different sources. All these links serve as virtual endorsements of you and your work, encouraging prospects to trust in your abilities.

But how do you get all these sites to mention your name and link to you? The good news is that many of the more traditional ways of promoting yourself as a professional dovetail nicely with this new goal, so you can achieve multiple marketing results with the same strategies. Here are some approaches you should consider:

1. Publishing articles. Writing articles in your area of expertise is a well-established technique for boosting your visibility and credibility. To increase your Googleability, what’s most important is not how many articles you write, but how many sites publish them. You can achieve a dramatic increase in your Web presence simply by writing three good articles and seeking out a dozen different sites that might publish each one.

To begin finding sites that will publish your work, type your specialty plus “articles” into a search engine, e.g. “financial planning articles” or “conflict resolution articles.” When you spot a site that features articles from many different authors and includes a brief bio and link for each one, look for their article submission guidelines or the editor’s contact information to submit articles of your own.

2. Public speaking. When you speak for a conference or association, your name and bio will typically appear on their Web site. To get more mileage out of these mentions, be sure you always include your Web site URL in the bio you provide, for example: “To find out more about C.J. Hayden, visit www.getclientsnow.com.”

Since many of these program listings will only appear for a month or two, offer these groups a free resource for their members in connection with your talk. They may be happy to post an article, tip sheet, or special report from you on their Web site, giving you a permanent presence there.

3. Serving on boards and committees. Type any professional specialty into Google and some of the first listings you see will typically be professional associations. By becoming an officer or committee chair of an association, you’ll often receive prominent mention on their site. For maximum exposure, choose a public contact position like program chair or membership chair.

4. Participating in discussion lists and forums. When people are seeking the answer to specific questions on the Web, their search results will often include discussion lists, message boards, and blog comments on the topic. By participating in forums like this, you can position yourself as an expert who has exactly the right solution for a prospect’s problem.

Spend an hour or so typing into Google some typical questions your ideal client might ask and look for sites where you see various people posting replies. You’ll get the best results using detailed questions like “can my résumé be 3 pages?” or “how do I motivate my staff?” The forums where you see people asking many questions you can answer are the ones you should join. Remember to always include your full name, profession, and URL in your posts.

The real beauty of this approach to Web visibility is that it can maximize the marketing efforts you may already have on your agenda instead of adding more tasks to your plate. Instead of focusing on beating the search engines, you can work on the bigger picture of gaining more prominence for your work both on and off the Web. And that has to be good for business.

Articles that are optimized to make them easier to find by search engines return far more results when people start searching terms. Having SEO services such as optimization and web site detailing can help any web site bring more users to the site and increase the web traffic. Whatever term the users type into search engines should bring your search engine optimized site listing to the top of the list or at least on the first page of the search results. Any results that show up on the second pages of search results generally don’t get clicked on by searchers. This is why SEO services can greatly enhance the chances of your web site being listed on the first page of search engine results. Being able to raise the ranking and listing of your web site as found by search engines should be the goal of anyone with a web site. Whether you have an ad-based traffic system that pays you a fee based on the number of visitors to your site or whether you simply want to show people the products your site has for sale, it’s important to bring visitor traffic up. This is another way that SEO services can make your web site a success.

When you want your web site to have a higher traffic count and have more people buying your products as well, SEO services can make all the difference. Because search engines look at your web site in a completely different way from the way people searching for your site see it, it’s important that you make sure search engines get the right picture of what your site offers. If you have products that make life simpler for people, then the search engine shouldn’t get the idea that your site is for simple people. This will only lose you business in the long run. The only way that your web site will be successful is if the search engines can bring your site and the people searching for what you have to offer, together. Otherwise, your web site will continue to only receive a few web visitors a month ad you’ll be paying a monthly server fee for nothing. Using SEO services to make your site more accessible to people searching the Internet will help them to find your web site much more often with the search engines. As your web site’s ranking rises in the search engine results, your listing in the pages of search results will also rise. This means that your web site will appear much closer to the top of any search engine results. This is how people searching for you will find you more easily.

There are many ways that SEO services can help your web site be successful. With the billions of web sites out there all trying to get listed at the top of web search listings, you should really look into this extremely helpful method of getting your web site’s listing onto search engine pages. The sooner your potential clients see your web site, the sooner your web site will be more successful.

You probably have heard of stories of average folks visiting a certain website. Then, purchased a product in hopes to get rich or make some fair amount of money with that online marketing business opportunity.

Here’s a true story of what happened just recently.

My friend (we shall call her Sally) had wanted to join into an online marketing business opportunity. Now, we all know that adsense is a way to generate income from Google. You place an advertisement box generated by Google adsense, people click, you earn. I’m not going into that detail so I’ll continue with my story.

She bought an opportunity (an affiliate program) from one of that Google Adsense site for about US$49.97. I’m not too sure about the exact price today and there were pictures of nice boats, cars and a luxurious house upfront the website. This website even had pictures of an account snapshot! Lo and behold, it was a very basic e-book that she bought and not very useful I must say. I told her to refund it but alas, the webmaster never responded. Money went down the drain.

This is probably a familiar story. One that would have been written all over the faces of those that fell victim or even as told by your friends. But I want to impress upon you the 5 things that you were never told about an online marketing business opportunity.

Ready ? Let’s go.

1. Don’t buy the hype

Countless times, newbie’s or beginners on the internet has been taken over emotionally about what has been promised online. In other words, you might have bought something from emotion before. Nothing wrong, just try to control yourself.

2. Contact the webmaster

It’s a good try to do so. You need to know if there is going to be support after you make the purchase. Besides, you’re buying it online so even if you can’t see the person in real life it would be important to get some sort of response.

3. Search in Google or yahoo for some reviews

You’re better off doing a quick 5 minutes search in google.com or yahoo.com by typing in this phrase “website name: reviews”. Once you have some results, click on them and read up a little.

4. Ask a friend about it

This one is a little tricky. You should ask someone you know who’s already in the online marketing arena to advise you if this is something legitimate. Usually, some of your friends might have fallen for the same feat you’re about to undertake and they could provide you some useful advice and caveats.

5. Check the web order page

Chances are that you might be ‘robbed’ online with the technology level now working on the internet. But it wouldn’t hurt to check when you’re really making an order. Go to the address bar and look for an “https://” ; the letter ‘s’ denotes that the site is secure and not fraudulent.

These are just 5 quick steps for you to make a wise decision on purchasing anything or getting into an online marketing business opportunity. I don’t encourage you to make mistakes and then go make some more but to learn from them.

So, with every move you make ensure that you do your very own due diligence. This in turn ensures your foundation to getting the most out of online opportunities.
